Individual Therapy

Engaging in therapy is not just about fixing what feels broken, but also about finding and capitalizing on the strengths that are already within you. While you will feel supported throughout the therapy process, you will also learn how to challenge your pre-existing thoughts and behaviors that may have been hindering your goals up to this point. Therapy will equip you with new tools and resources to sustain meaningful change.

EMDR Therapy

Experiencing trauma is difficult and everyone manages it in their own ways. Some choose not to talk about it, doing everything they can to avoid the distress. Others find they can’t stop thinking about what happened. Many feel angry, fearful, and overwhelmed, often feeling alert or “on guard.” But surviving trauma is powerful, but often brings up shame or the feeling that one has to be “brave” and “strong” to overcome it.

Unlike other treatments that focus on directly altering the emotions, thoughts, and responses resulting from traumatic experiences, EMDR is an evidence-based treatment that focuses directly on the memory and is intended to change the way that the memory is stored in the brain to restore its natural ability to heal.
