Values & Non-Negotiables

Phoenix lives by values that guide who we are as a team, how we present to our communities, and what we expect from every clinician who joins us.

Grit. We want clinicians who are passionate, conscientious, and driven, even when the work is hard. In practice: goal-driven, willing to learn, and able to stay invested in outcomes through the harder cases and busier weeks.

Depth. We are committed to depth over surface-level competence, supported by ongoing training and tracked outcomes, so growth translates into real client progress. In practice: sound clinical judgment and deductive reasoning applied to every case, anticipating challenges before they affect a client’s progress rather than reacting after the fact.

Spark. We look for clinicians who know when to lead and when to listen, guiding clients toward change while recognizing when validation, not direction, is what the moment calls for. In practice: self-aware, growth-oriented, and able to receive feedback openly rather than defensively.

Presence. We meet every client fully as they are, bringing our full attention to their specific background, beliefs, and lived experience rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. In practice: cultural competence reflected in how interventions and treatment approaches are selected for each client.

Candor. We hold ourselves and each other to the follow-through our clients and community deserve, owning missteps directly rather than deflecting them. In practice: documentation and deadlines completed as a matter of course, caseload and productivity expectations met without being chased down, and missteps with clients or colleagues acknowledged directly rather than left unaddressed.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation is structured by licensure tier and experience, with separate rates for clinical (face-to-face) and administrative (non-face-to-face) work.

Clinical (Face-to-Face) Rate. Covers billable, clinical, face-to-face session time, based on licensure tier and experience (provisional license, fully licensed, years in practice). Compensation is a set hourly rate, prorated based on time. For example, if a session is billed at 30 minutes, the rate will be 50% of the hourly flat rate.

Administrative (non-face-to-face) Rate. Covers non-billable clinical work such as documentation and care coordination and is compensated at 50% of the clinician’s applicable clinical rate, capped per pay period.

Benefits include health insurance and malpractice coverage. Malpractice coverage begins on the clinician’s start date; health insurance eligibility begins following a 90-day waiting period for full-time employees.
